Diakonie ECCB Centre of Christian Help in Litoměřice

 
Diakonie ECCB Centre of Christian Help in Litoměřice is a part of the Diakonie of the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren. It was founded in 1992 as a non-profit organization with the principal objective to help people on th  fringe of society. Centre was gradually developed according to the clients´requirements based on community plan of Litoměřice and employees´ professional experiences. Nowadays it offers a range of services aimed at the support of disabled and socially disadvantaged people. Centre is financed from grants of Czech Republic and EU which need to be claimed every year. Grants make 75% of overal sources and 25% were gifts, incomes from sale service and from self manufacturing at sheltered employment.

The mission of Diakonie ECCB Centre of Christian Help in Litoměřice is to support people with special needs to find their potential, to fill their own aims and to find opportunity how to be of use in common life.

Nowadays the centre provides these services:

• Day services centre in Litoměřice - integrative educational program for people with mental and physical disability from 18 to 64 years
• Social therapeutic workshops in Terezín - training program for people with mental from 16 to 64 years
• Social rehabilitation + Supported employment agency in Litoměřice – social rehabilition and supported employment for people with mental disability from 18 to 64 years
• Sheltered housing in Terezín – housing service for people with mental disability from 18 to 64 years
• Supported independent housing inTerezín and surroundings – streetwork service for people with mental disability from 18 to 64 years
• Home for mothers with children in Litoměřice – temporary accomodation and sociotherapy for mothers with children without shelter

Others activities of Diakonie ECBB in Litoměřice aimed at support of employment of people with health disability:

• Restaurant Klobouk in Terezín – sheltered and training workplace for people with health and mental disability
• Hóra Tearoom in Litoměřice – sheltered workplace for people with health disability
• Sheltered workshops – manufacturing of ceramics and textile souvenirs in Litoměřice
